In the absence of a permanent charging station, the control unit of our Mode 2 charging cable takes charge of all safety-related functions. This includes the detection of AC and DC fault currents, triggering an automatic switch-off in the presence of a fault, and seamlessly restarting when the issue is resolved. The control unit also manages multi-stage temperature control and initiates automatic charge current reduction to prevent overheating of the Schuko plug or charging module.
