Now the question is, who will install the outlet and how will the electricity be charged?
If you have a garage or a villa, this is not a problem. I own my place. I install it myself and pay my own electricity bills. But in Chinese cities, garages are expensive, and generally not closed garages, and villas are even more affordable for rich people.
It is not a problem for Tesla owners, but it is unrealistic for users of ordinary new energy electric vehicles, and the solution is a smart socket.
In fact, the typical use scenario of new energy electric vehicles is to use the car to commute during the day, go home at night, and use low-cost electricity to charge when residents' electricity consumption is low. Long-term charging does not need to be fast, nor does it have to be full, because there is only one day between two charges, and the driving mileage may not be very long.
Therefore, owners of new energy electric vehicles do not need expensive charging piles, they need an electric vehicle charging socket.
The air conditioning socket can support up to 3.5KW equipment, do not pursue the peak, deduct the efficiency factor of charging conversion, the actual 2KW is no problem. If an electric car can charge two kilowatt-hours per hour, it can charge 18 kilowatt-hours for nine hours from 22 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day. It can support a pure electric mileage of about 100 kilometers. And the daily commute rarely exceeds 50 kilometers a day.
The three major problems of charging pile, cost, compatibility, and matching can be solved. Compared to expensive charging piles, the cost of sockets is negligible.
